21 Day Equity Challenge Invitation

By Dani & Kandyce, NNM DEI Team

  • Has anyone ever said something that didn’t sit quite well with you, but you were unsure of how to respond in the moment?
  • Have you ever had to check a racial identity box and were unsure of which to pick?
  • Do you wonder what are best practices around having age-appropriate conversations about current events with your child?
  • Is this something that you have never had to consider?

If you answered yes, to any of these questions, the 21 Day Equity Challenge is for YOU!

[View our resources here!]

This challenge is meant to:

  • break topics around identity and equity in small and digestible ways
  • empower you to use your voice and influence to create situations for personal growth
  • provide tangible actions to help build a more just future

This year, we will be launching the challenge in person on September 22 from 5:30-7:00pm in the community room. There will be food, beverages, and fellowship, as we dive into conversations around equity. For families with children ages 3 and up, we will provide childcare and dinner. In the spirit of equity, we have tried to remove as many barriers as possible, so that YOU can attend.

The main idea behind this challenge is that we are building an equity habit and actively practicing engaging in reflection and dialogue on topics as they relate to equity, identity, and allyship. There is no need to be anywhere other than where you are; there is no need to know anything in particular or to have all the right answers. We recognize everyone has different entry points to this work, and we are ready to meet people where they are.

If you are going to attend, please RSVP here.

We recognize that our freedom is tied to one another, that if some of us aren't free, none of us are. Thus, the work of living out our commitment to DEI here at NNM and out in the world lies with all of us.

We are excited to be doing this work alongside you!
