This Washington Post article is a great reminder to me of the importance of remembering that the word “success” can be defined in many, many ways and looks different for each child.  There’s no single trajectory.  It’s also got a healthy dose of reality-check, in that any child’s struggles or challenges are always relative.  Sometimes our personal struggles and challenges seem so large and daunting, but they often pale in comparison when we look at them relative to the struggles and challenges of others.
