Parent/Infant Program- (6-24 Months)

"The education of even a very small child does not aim at preparing him for school but for life."

The goal of the Parent/Infant program is to assist the child's development through small group interaction. Special materials and furniture are designed to aid movement and coordination. The role of the parent is to observe, support and encourage the child's natural development.

The role of the teacher is to be the link between the prepared environment and the children; to provide experiences within the environment which require of the child just the right amount of effort - enough effort to be interesting and which allows the child to see her effort as successful.
