ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS

NNM offers early-morning and after-school programs Monday - Friday for students ages 3 – 14.

Early-Morning Care
Early-morning care is available throughout the year to students ages 3 to 12. Students may arrive as early as 7:30 a.m.
Students ages 12-14 who arrive to school early are permitted to wait outside the main office.

Early-Morning Activities
Several academic enrichment activities for ages 9-14 are offered before school.

After-school Care Programs
Our after-school programs are divided by levels (3-6, 6-9, and 9 - 14) and are created to provide students with an opportunity to participate in various arts & crafts projects, outdoor and indoor games, cooking, free play, reading, etc. with their friends. A healthy snack is available for students enrolled in this program.

While the program is less structured than the student's Montessori day, it follows the same guidelines and expectations. Each after-school program is competently staffed by many of NNM's classroom assistants, Spanish, gym, and music teachers.

General after-school is available for students who may need childcare before or after an activity. For example, a student may be signed up for a swim class that starts at 4:30 and need optional after-school from 3:30 - 4:30.

Parents are also welcome to send their child(ren) to general after-school on an as-needed basis for a daily fee.

After-school Activities
NNM offers a wide variety of after-school activities. These activities help students develop their physical and mental skills and build character as they gain the confidence to take on and master new challenges. Activities in academic enrichment, aquatics, language and culture, performing arts, physical education, studio arts, and technology are offered to students; however, not all activities are available at all levels.

Instrumental Music Program
NNM offers private lessons in piano, violin, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, French horn, percussion, guitar, and more.  NNM’s private music teachers are talented professional musicians with a vast array of experience.

NNM also offers a large band program (beginning, Intermediate, Concert, Jazz Ensemble) and an orchestra program, new in 2007-08.

Registration for participation in the instrumental music program occurs separately.  Please visit the Instrumental Music Program page for more information.
