Near North Montessori could not create such a caring and supportive environment for the children without the help of an exceptional parent body. In addition to timely tuition payments, parents are expected to volunteer in some way each year, support the Annual Fund every year and make a pledge to the Endowment Fund during the family's time at Near North.

The Board of Directors is composed of eighteen parents who are elected to a three-year term in annual elections. One lower-school teacher and one elementary teacher are elected to the Board as staff representatives. The Executive Director serves as a voting member of the Board.
