About our School

We are a fully accredited, non-profit institution located in Chicago. Offering programs from primary to junior high level, NNMS now serves over 500 students from the Chicago area.

Our philosophy is based on the methods developed by Dr. Maria Montessori at the turn of the century in Rome, Italy. Our goal is to educate the human potential. Our diverse students, faculty and programs provide environments for an enjoyable, productive, education. An education: enriching childhood, development and lifetime of learning.

Near North Montessori teaches cooperation and We are the wholehearted result of more than four decades of cooperative dedication. Parents play the most important role in the development of their children, and at Near North Montessori, Parents also play an important role in the education their children receive at school. Join us for coffee for an informational presentation and tour.
