]]> NNM’s Dance Troop, led by Dana Christy, performed a flash mob at “The Bean” in Millennium Park. The dance was performed by 21 NNM students at the Junior High level. They chose this space because they wanted a space that was easily visible and iconic, and now they will always associate “The Bean” with their flash mob dance titled “The Drill.”

]]> Gym Grand Opening:  Friday morning was a historic moment for the school, as the community gathered to celebrate the completion an extremely successful Capital Campaign, the largest fundraising initiative in the school’s history, and inaugurate the new Jacqueline A. Bergen Building.  This achievement represents participation by members of every segment of the school community, and our deepest gratitude goes out to everyone.

 What: NNMS’ First Annual community-wide Walk-A-Thon and the Junior High Amazing Race to benefit the Annual Fund

 Who: All NNMS families

 When: Wednesday, May 23 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm

 Where: Beautiful Humboldt Park

 BYO picnic and field games to follow

Montessori Moves is officially on the move! Has your child set up his/her online fundraising page yet? Informational packets about the Walk-A-Thon and Junior High Amazing Race were sent home the week of April 23 with each student and included general information about the event, hard copies of pledge forms and instructions for setting up individual fundraising pages online. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 4:00 – 7:00pm.

Parents and caregivers will be responsible for transporting students from NNM to Humboldt Park with the exception of the Junior High Amazing Race participants. If your child attends After School and you are unable to attend the Walk-A-Thon, you may make arrangements for another parent or caregiver to transport your child.
