The athletic program at NNM is designed to challenge student athletes to achieve their highest potential, while providing them opportunities for the lifetime development of physical, mental and social skills. It is our vision for every child to become confident in physical activities that bring them pleasure and help them develop character, self-esteem and strength.
Our no-cut sports policy ensures that all students have the opportunity to join a team and learn strategy, leadership, teamwork and responsibility. Seventy percent of our 6th – 8th graders play sports at NNM. With our new gymnasium that opened in 2012, NNM increased the range of athletic and physical education offerings at the school, as well as finally have the space to host our first-ever home games.
NNM students in 5th – 8th grades participate in seasonal sports with other independent schools in the area. Such sports include: cross country, flag football, volleyball, basketball, softball, soccer and track.
Parents can register for athletics online via My BackPack. Extra fees apply.
Note: Athletic seasons do not necessarily align with the session periods for after school activities. Parents must sign up for sports using the after school activity timeline. During Session 1 sign up for cross country, volleyball, flag football, boys soccer and basketball. During Session 2 sign up for 5th grade basketball. During Session 3 sign up for girls soccer, softball and track.
