Skills Readiness for NNM “Stay-Uppers” NNM students only as two-week camp
Get a jump on the new school year! In this camp, stay-uppers build confidence by practicing with Montessori math materials and focusing on language activities leading to beginning reading and word building. Cursive handwriting practice is also emphasized. It is not all work, though; time to play outdoors rounds out fun days at camp.
Icky, Sticky Science for Ages 4 – 6 * Open to 3 year old with at least one year completed at NNM
Be a mad or silly scientist in the NNM Lab, with hands-on experiments and creative concoctions. Scientific concepts are really going to “stick” as you learn basic science principles, make goo and inflate balloons with the gases from your investigations. You bring your enthusiasm and we bring the aprons and goggles.
Lego® Robotics for Grades 1 – 6
Put on your engineer’s cap and join us to build everything from simple Lego machines to computer programmable, autonomous robots. Using an approach that touches on science, technology, math, engineering and plain old fun, you build robots with Lego Mindstorms and hold a robot rodeo at the end of the week!
The Science Alliance for Grades 1 – 6
Have you been looking for the opportunity to go mad in the lab? The Science Alliance inspires you to delve deeper into science with hands-on experiments and creative concoctions. Students’ interest in science grows as they see scientific principles come to life right before their goggles!
Dinosaur Days for Grades 1 – 6
You are a junior paleontologist as you make your own fossils and dinosaur eggs. Play games like Predator and Prey as you investigate the mysteries of the ancient world. Science, art and history come together in a week of summer learning and fun.
Reading Skills Camp for Grades 1 – 3
Get a jump on the coming school year by strengthening your reading skills! Students in this class strengthens reading skills with a focus on decoding and comprehension. Educational games round out a week where fun is good and good for you!
Academic Skills Building for Grades 4 – 6
Want to brush up some of those math and language skills before the new school year? This is the place! Students in this class work on building academic skills to make it easier to tackle next year’s challenges.
Junior High Math Skills Camp for Grades 6 – 8
Whether you want to brush up on last year’s math or get ready for the math classes that greets you in the fall, this is the class for you. Junior High students gather to address decimals, percentages, basic algebra and more. No matter how you calculate it, there is a real advantage to strengthening core math skills.
