The canoe trips are in full swing and everyone is in excellent spirits. Once they arrived at the sites yesterday there was much to be done: setting up tents, shopping for groceries and preparing dinner. There may have been some time for Capture the Flag, a campfire and ghost stories….
Today, the Wisconsin and Indiana crews look like they are in for a pleasant and dry day and have already set out onto the river.
Mr. Madgiak’s class in Michigan, had a light rain this morning. Their time on the river might be shortened today due to wet weather but they feel confident they’ll get in at least a few good hours of paddling (better to tire out the kids!). Their weather later today and thereafter looks great for camping and canoeing.
