About Near North Montessori

Diversity

3-6Near North Montessori School believes in educating the whole child. Our goal is to provide a balanced environment that attracts, respects and honors all cultural, ethnic, racial and socioeconomic backgrounds, and to encourage our children to take pride in the unique family heritage that each individual possesses, including their own.

Near North Montessori School is committed to creating and maintaining a diverse student, faculty, and staff population. We believe that diverse experiences help children understand and respect both differences and similarities in themselves and others.

A Montessori education goes hand in hand with this philosophy and aims to provide children with a sense of community and belonging that will last a lifetime.

Diversity in the Classroom
Each classroom of students at NNM has the opportunity to choose how they will incorporate diversity into their community. Here is a sampling of some of the activities our teachers, parents and children have engaged in.
